
An alumnus of Texas A&M University with a BS in economics and minoring in political science, Sujey Kallumadanda earned his JD from Michigan State University, where he contributed to the Journal of International Law and served as a senator of the Student Bar Association. Sujey Kallumadanda subsequently studied for his LLM in securities and financial regulations at Georgetown University before commencing his career as a banking and securities advisor to Senator Michael Enzi in Washington, DC, and later he assisted in the beginnings of the renewable energy nonprofit blueEnergy.
From 2005 to 2009, Sujey Kallumadanda served as an associate of Barnett, Sivon & Natter. As such, he was responsible for establishing relationships with congressional representatives and regulators and drafting interpretive memos on various domestic and international banking and securities laws and regulations. Mr. Kallumadanda also co-authored The Blueprint for U.S. Financial Competitiveness, which focuses on principles-based regulation of the financial services sector.
More recently, Sujey Kallumadanda has shifted his attention to serving government and private sector interests in a legal capacity on the international level. He served for four years as the director of governance and public policy to Iraq on behalf of the International Republican Institute and initiated business opportunities for Steptoe & Johnson PLLC while working out of its Houston offices. He presently functions as an international legal and strategy consultant with Southern Crux LLC.
